Capital One’s Mobile Application has been temporarily unavailable to customers since 10:40 AM. This will have impacted app to app redirection journeys. Capital One APIs and Online Banking Platform are not impacted.

LBG would like to advise that the ability to retrieve credit card balances and transactions will be unavailable across all Brands on 9th December 2022 between 01:00 and 06:00 due to essential maintenance at a third party.

This is a swing from one mainframe environment to another in order to be able to perform maintenance tasks. It is important to note - the swing happens every weekend, hence this will be recurring planned service degradation. Of course, this is not the way we want to keep it, however since it is related to very core, mainframe systems, the fixes will not come that easily. This was triggered due to known issue where account doesn’t exist in the backend database. Our apis returning 500 with “No content found”.

There is already an existing jira  - CSOB-20579 raised with lab.

We experienced a high level of errors on all AIS traffic starting at just before 9am. This impacted one of our two data centres, with traffic to the unaffected data centre being processed as normal. The impacted data centre has been marked out restoring service and all errors have stopped. The root cause is being investigated and is believed to be related to a certificate issue.
